What Reinhard Swienty founded in 1984 as a one-man business is today a second-generation family company: 20 permanent employees, two production halls with CNC sheet metal working, and Managing Director Michael Swienty, a master craftsman for thermal, cold, acoustic and fire protection insulation.
Under one roof we cover all four areas of technical insulation as well as PUR high-pressure foaming: for plant engineering, breweries, dairy processing, food processing, logistics and cold storage centres, biogas plants and the chemical industry. Since 2014 we have been producing stainless steel formed parts in V2A and V4A exclusively in a separate hall: the standard requirement for hygienically certified applications in the food industry.

PUR high-pressure foaming has been one of our core competences since 1990 and is now a standard in industrial cold insulation. Rigid polyurethane foam achieves very low thermal transmittance values at a low layer thickness; at the same time its closed-cell structure keeps moisture out of the insulation system.
In practice we work with two processes: spray foam for complex geometries on open components, and pour foam for closed cavities in vessels and pipework systems. Our mobile high-pressure foaming units come directly to the object, from storage vessels and pipework systems through to special applications in shipbuilding and food production.

The duration depends heavily on the scope and complexity of the project. Smaller measures such as repairs or partial insulation can often be completed within a few days, while insulating complete installations, tanks or pipework systems can take several weeks to months. At IVS we follow a clear five-step process (enquiry, analysis & consultation, planning, execution and acceptance) and give you a binding schedule after the site inspection. Even very tight deadlines are met reliably thanks to well-practised installation teams and our own prefabrication in our production halls.

Yes. A large part of our projects is carried out while the installation stays in operation, for example refurbishments of heating plants, modernisations in food production or hygienic cold insulation in 24/7 operations. Our installation teams are trained to plan and carry out the work in such a way that downtime is avoided or limited to the necessary minimum. Safety and hygiene requirements are strictly observed and agreed with your plant management.
Technical insulation makes sense — and is frequently mandatory — wherever installations lose energy, condensation or ice forms, fire protection is required or noise emissions have to be reduced. In concrete terms that means: heating and cooling lines as well as vessels for energy saving, fire protection cladding of steel structures and penetrations, sound insulation on noisy units, and prevention of ice and condensation on cold surfaces. Legal requirements such as the German Buildings Energy Act (GEG) and occupational noise limits make professional insulation mandatory in many cases.
Costs cannot be stated as a flat rate, because they depend on the size of the installation, the insulation material, the cladding material (e.g. stainless steel V2A/V4A), accessibility, the fire protection class and time pressure. What also matters is whether the work has to be carried out during ongoing operation and which preparatory or follow-up work is involved. After a free on-site inspection and survey we prepare a detailed, transparently calculated quotation for you. That way you know exactly what investment lies ahead and which energy and follow-up costs you will save in the long run.
