Project or site manager (m/f/d) in insulation

From surveying through project handling to the on-time delivery of our sites: as a project or site manager you take on a varied role in technical insulation. We are looking for professionals with several years of experience, strong communication skills and a structured way of working. At IVS in Malchin you become part of a strong team and look after construction projects throughout Germany and beyond.

What does a project or site manager in insulation technology do?

Project and site managers in technical insulation are the link between the customer, the workshop and the site. They translate the requirements of an installation (temperature, material, deadline, budget) into a workable plan and make sure everything fits in the end: from surveying through prefabrication to acceptance. Unlike purely office-based roles, you spend a lot of time travelling, get to know a wide variety of industries and work with people at every level — from the customer’s plant engineer through our own fitters to representatives of the authorities at fire protection inspections.

The job is particularly suited to people who enjoy organising, take responsibility and appreciate technical details as much as dealing with different characters. A completed degree is not strictly necessary; many project managers come from a trade background and bring their practical experience with them. There is an acute shortage of skilled staff in the industry, especially site managers who can apply the AGI work sheets confidently and prepare fire protection documentation independently. Your own projects, your own decisions and a well-practised team behind you: that is what the reality looks like.

In practice, the role of site or project manager at IVS also means taking responsibility for prefabrication in Malchin: which cladding parts go to the site, which sequence makes sense, which material justifies the extra cost? You make such decisions independently, in close coordination with management and the workshop team.
