Sweet Tec at a glance
Sweet Tec GmbH operates one of the most modern confectionery production sites in Europe in Boizenburg on the Elbe. High-quality sweets are produced on around 27,000 m² of production space under high requirements for hygiene, process reliability and consistent quality. In a production environment like this, technical installations have to work reliably and at the same time be executed so that ongoing operation and hygienic processes are affected as little as possible.Working during ongoing production
The contract covered the insulation of the new refrigeration plant in the machine room and of the heat recovery system, as well as insulation work in existing production areas. In addition, existing fire penetration seals in production and newly built seals in the machine room had to be professionally closed and documented. Particular challenges were the high hygiene standards, carrying out the work during ongoing production, tight scheduling dependencies on other trades and selecting suitable fire protection solutions for different media within the existing structural conditions.What we did
IVS insulated the new refrigeration plant in the machine room including the heat recovery system and carried out additional insulation work in existing production areas. The work was coordinated with the processes of ongoing confectionery production and the high hygiene requirements on site.
In the area of fire protection, our trained staff produced professional, standard-compliant fire wall and ceiling crossings as well as fire wall seals on the existing fire walls. Existing fire penetration seals in production and newly built seals in the machine room were closed to suit the different media and structural requirements.
The systems installed form a smoke-tight and fire-resistant barrier. They compensate for melting effects, interrupt heat conduction in the event of fire and absorb possible movement through decoupling. Finally, IVS produced comprehensive fire wall documentation for the measures carried out.
