What does a design mechanic in sheet metal fabrication do?

Design mechanics specialising in sheet metal fabrication manufacture sheets, cladding parts and formed parts for technical insulation and are therefore a central part of prefabrication. They read design drawings, program CNC machines for cutting and folding, weld stainless steel in V2A and V4A, add beads and connecting nozzles and join individual parts into complete casings for vessels, pipework or special geometries.
